Beth Blade And The Beautiful Disasters – Bad Habit

Good old fashioned bad ass rock n roll has taken a bit of a hit lately.  In a way it’s become a victim of its own success with bands splicing different genres onto it or fully morphing it into heavier, groovier or outright weirder versions of the original.  Beth Blade has taken rock back to its routes on this album and while some might sniff it’s a timely reminder of where the music we all love so much came from, and where it’s heading.  Bad Habit you see isn’t all retrospective, it’s a modern day full on juvenile delinquent and that makes it something rather special.  Fresh tunes and some damn fine vocals matched up to a lovely warm production will give this almost universal appeal.  Variation might be a tad thin but solid hooks overcome any shortcomings in that direction.  You can imagine Beth Blade And The Beautiful Disasters are a cracking act live, this record just lets you admire them when you’re not at a venue.
