Best known for her work with Eluveitie and Illumishade it was only a matter of time before Fabienne Erni put out a solo album.Β After teasing us with singles through 2025 we now get the beautifully rendered βStarveilβ.Β Here any hint of previous shackles come off with a collection of songs that show off Erniβs voice to the max. We get a guest appearance from Lena Scissorhands which highlights both singers wonderful abilities. Ranging from full blown symphonic metal to the more ethereal pop end of the spectrum this album switches up tempo and vibe well. The music is consistently well scribed and played to perfection. The vocal though takes centre stage. Meaningful lyrics are brought to life through high quality pitch and tone. Importantly nothing is overblown. Where so many solo projects become ego trips this is just a well balanced great listen. Erni has increased her reputation as a high class artist through its release.
