Having clearly spent some time on the direct line to Lucifer himself, Bewitcher haven’t so much been knocking on the gates of Hell. On the strength of ‘Cursed Be Thy Kingdom’ they have forced the doors wide open, let themselves in and made themselves right at home with Satan. Room for a few more in there boys? The music is mostly fast paced and driven, with a few gear shifts which take the tempo down slightly. The lyrics are suitably blasphemous. By daylight ‘Cursed Be Thy Kingdom’ is heavy metal rock and roll that scratches your ‘need to listen to something completely irreverent’ itch. Listened to at night it becomes sinister and fuels the feeling that there is good reason to be afraid of the dark. So, sweet dreams then…*
