It’s easy to like Kit Trigg’s sunny side up rock. He has a voice that has you daydreaming of beers on the beach and backyard barbeques with good friends. This is a band though and Adam Thorn and Max Rhead are equally as impressive here. This five track box of delights has a slightly (and we mean very slightly) heavier edge to it than what we’ve heard before from Kit Trigg. That said the melodies are absolute honey and the groove is laid back into the horizontal position. The writing is well thought through but it’s the delivery and those wonderful vocals that make these songs really come alive. Ballad ‘Life Raft’ is performed with genuine sensitivity while adding a nice change of tempo. When you just want to listen to quality rock that hits that sweet spot ‘Free N’ Easy’ is a great listen.
