My Ruin have spent a lot of time speaking out – this time, they have turned inward as they release their debut new video ‘Infinite Connection’ which enters the ether beneath the flower moon to mark the season.

Born from resistance, it blooms with resilience.
A lush & dreamlike, doom-laden love letter – to each other and longtime fans of the band who’ve stood with them through every season. A reminder: what is real doesn’t break, fade, or disappear. It transforms – carried by a bond that transcends time, distance, and boundaries.
For many across America, this date is not business as usual. It’s May Day. A labor-led, coordinated day of action calling for no work, no school, and no shopping. A moment of resistance, reflection, and refusal – demanding a seismic shift: Prioritizing workers over billionaires, protecting and expanding voting rights and defending democracy which includes dignity for immigrants, BIPOC & LGBTQ+ communities. The movement calls for taxing the rich, protecting public schools, healthcare & housing. No ICE. No war. No private army serving unchecked federal power and accountability for leaders who weaponize it!
While the new video isn’t a politically charged track like others on the album, its message is rooted in the invisible threads that bind us – love, friendship, and the unspoken solidarity that reminds us of what all of this is for. A timeless, profound connection. Not algorithms. Not clicks.
My Ruin will always stand with the protests & causes that they believe in and that commitment doesn’t pause for release days, including the bands so they will be honoring both. My Ruin respect and recognise those choosing to disengage today by stepping away from work, consumption, and the constant doom scroll.
