Lesbian Bed Death
Satan’s Cellar
Psychophonic Records
Back with another spooky slice of horror rock the rather wonderful Lesbian Death Bed once again hit the ground running. As with earlier works we get melody driven songs that this time are a tad heavier. But the groove is still there as is the delicious vocal delivery. There’s an obvious step forward in the writing with a willingness to try new paths without straying too far from what makes the band tick. There’s still that swagger, it’s just now the hips are swaying a little harder. The real bonus is that you can just imagine this entire album absolutely killing it live. Most of the time when an artist releases a long player you get a couple of songs that work in a venue while the rest, at best, will take time to grow on you. ‘Satan’s Cellar’ could make up a playlist in its entirety – it’s that good. So when the tour is announced you know what to do, buy a ticket and go and have some fun!
