‘Shapeshifter’ is the first offering from ‘(NON)ENTITY’, the 2nd EP from Brighton’s fakeyourdeath, which is set for release on 13th March 2026. Following 2024’s ‘null/void’, their latest offering continues to combine intense electronic & industrial sounds with post-hardcore influences. Produced by Wayne Adams (Petbrick, Big Lad, Wasted Death).

It’s the story of unmasking and being unashamedly yourself, whatever the consequences may be. Influenced by the likes of HEALTH, Nine Inch Nails & Youth Code, their debut EP tracks were featured on the official Kerrang! chart, Knotfest’s ‘Pulse Of The Maggots’ playlist & Metal Hammer’s ‘Best New Songs You Need To Hear Right Now’. They were also featured artist of the week on Alex Baker’s Fresh Blood show on Kerrang! Radio, track of the week on BBC Introducing Rock on Radio 1 with Alyx Holcombe, awarded Total Rock’s debut single of the year & included in Metal Hammer’s roundup of the ‘Best Metal Songs of the Year 2023’.
Since then, they have released remixes with bands such as Copse, 601, Death Goals, El Moono and Tayne, also featured on Kerrang!, and with more in the pipeline for release this year. Known for their captivating & dramatic live show, they have played with the likes of Empire State Bastard, Youth Code, Lake Malice, Graphic Nature, Saint Agnes, ZAND, Frontierer, The St Pierre Snake Invasion, Tokky Horror & appeared at Noizzefest & Arctangent Festival.
