Off the back of their highly successful debut record ‘Erosion/Avulsion’ in 2024, Hidden Mother‘s continue to climb up the ranks of the UK scene. 2025 has seen them perform at many prestigious festivals, including 2000 Trees, Strangeforms and Noizze Fest. They will also make their debut at Manchester’s Damnation Festival on the 9th of November.
To celebrate a year of ‘Erosion/Avulsion’, the band has teamed up with breakbeat aficionados 601 to offer a fresh take on ‘Defanged‘. Hidden Mothers are no strangers to collaboration. In May of this year, the band released their collaboration ‘Bitter Life’ with noise rockers TAYNE. Keen to experiment in the realms of EDM again, the band looked to 601 for input on their reimagining of ‘Defanged’. With over three decades in the game, the duo have released three LPs and countless EPs/singles, which has earned them great critical acclaim and an international following in the realms of experimental and electronic music. Their new album ‘We Are Not The Same‘ drops November 7th via SeeHear Recordings.
Hidden Mother’s will be performing a hometown headline show @ Yellow Arch, Sheffield on November 21st, with 601 performing DJ sets in between bands. Other bands on the bill feature Din Of Celestial Birds, Pleiades and Baosbheinn.
