Review: Alter Bridge – Alter Bridge

Alter Bridge

Alter Bridge

Napalm Records

Some things are a certainty. Life, taxes, death, and added to this we can now add an Alter Bridge album being monumental.  Yep Myles Kennedy and co. are back with yet another fantastic slice of hard rocking pie that manages somehow to surpass their last extraordinary effort. They hit harder this time around. The punches thrown by riffmaster Tremonti are heavier than last time and yet there’s still a gracefulness about every note played. The rhythms of Philips and Marshall pound with delightful infectiousness. The vocals are crisp and well toned, they wouldn’t really be anything else. ‘Alter Bridge’ is the best yet from a band that have already delivered so much. It’s a fitting set of songs to carry an eponymous title as it is a summation of this fine act’s achievements to date. All there is to do now is lap it all up and then wait for those live dates to come along. Alter Bridge are a juggernaut that doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon.
