MNRK Heavy

If you like HEALTH but yearn for something heavier , then have we got an act for you! Coming forward with all of the gothy electronic overtones and Zetra-esque vintage drum machine sounds Tayne’s new album on the ever dependable MNRK Heavy label has plenty on here to turn on, tune in and drop out to. This album, however has an extra metallic edge that you can headbang to. They have a fondness for added freeform analogue sounds screeches in the top end which is awesome when you first hear it but maybe could do with switching up once in a while. Guest vocals from Rachel Aspe of Cage Fight on Coherent and James Spence of Rolo Tomassi on Fear add a bit of wow factor and round out a solid collection of banging industrial noise pop. This is a very exhilarating and emotive release for those who like their beats a little edgier. Definitely one for fans of Nine Inch Nails And Crosses.
