‘Kill Grid’ should come with a public health warning. The band’s press release describes Enforced as ‘Virginia-based crossover maniacs’, and, frankly, who are we to argue? Whatever you do, don’t turn up opening track ‘The Doctrine’ because you can’t hear it. This is one of those cunning tunes that starts softly then drops like a demon, shattering not only the silence but potentially ear drums also. A fair precursor for the rest of the album, then. Gruff, growling, razor blade, barbed wire vocals lead the nine brutal thrash/punk/metal/hardcore bangers. Hardly pausing for breath, Enforced play on and on with a savage speed and strength. Get onside with Enforced. Judging by the noise they make, you want to be with them, not against them.
