Turborider – AFM Records

After their four year hiatus, Finnish glam rockers Reckless Love return with the heavily anticipated ‘Turborider’, an album influenced by the movie and games of the 80s. For those that remember or are fans of the like will be hit with a wave of nostalgia. Starting with the title track, which consists of computerised vocals and instruments that help to bring that retro feel. With catchy lyrics, high-energy beats, and, guitar solos, it’s sure to put you in a party mood. ‘Eyes of A Maniac’ stands out lyrically and will have you singing along before it’s even finished. Although very 80s pop the guitars bring it back to its rock heritage. ‘Bark At The Moon’ came as quite a surprise and sounds very much like a synth-wave remix of the original by Ozzy Osbourne. ‘89 Sparkle’ is such a feel-good anthem that you can imagine blasting on the beach with a few cold ones. Closing with ‘Prodigal Sons’  this is the most typical rock n’ roll offering on the release, with an added touch of synth. This album has dropped just at the right time, it is sure to be a hit over the spring and summer months.
