Dark Atlas Tours Launches an Immersive UK Witch Hunt tour, founded by Brijitte West.

Lancaster, York and Edinburgh – April 29-May 3rd 2026

Dark Atlas Tours, a new cultural 4-star travel initiative founded by musical artist and storyteller Brijitte West, has announced the launch of a five-day guided journey through England and Scotland examining the history of witchcraft trials and persecution in the United Kingdom.

Positioned as the only cultural holiday tour dedicated exclusively to the history of British witch trials of the 17th Century. The experience trace’s key locations associated with accusations, trials, and executions, offering historical context and reflection rather than sensationalism.

The private coach tour moves through ancient villages, historic castles, and evocative landscapes tied to some of the most infamous witch trials in British history. With 4-star hotels dinner and breakfast included.

Highlights include visits connected to the Pendle Witch Trials of 1612, among the most well-documented cases in England, as well as Edinburgh’s witch memorial, which stands as one of the few public acknowledgements of the thousands accused and executed in Scotland.

The tour also examines figures such as King James the 6th of Scotland and later King James the First of England, and author of β€œDemonology”, a guidebook of actions that contributed to widespread fear and persecution during the 17th century.

West founded Dark Atlas Tours to address what she sees as a lack of public remembrance for those accused of witchcraft.

β€œThese were real people whose lives were destroyed by fear, superstition, and power,” said West.

“This tour is about returning their stories to the places where they happened and acknowledging how little has been done to honour them.”

Drawing on her background in music and performance, West brings a narrative-driven approach to historical tourism, blending research with immersive storytelling. Dark Atlas Tours aligns with the growing interest in thoughtful dark tourism, inviting travellers to engage with difficult histories while fostering cultural awareness and remembrance.

The inaugural tour is expertly guided by Crow, a real-life witch, historian, educator and founder of the prestigious Margaret Inglis School of Witchcraft and Magic

The tour is scheduled for April 29- May 3rd 2026, with additional 2026 dates planned.
