What a blast this cracking electro metal EP is. From first note to last it punches so hard. It’s astutely written with big nods towards the likes of Combichrist, 3Teeth and Nine Inch Nails while still retaining an identity of its own. Each song has that essential pounding beat that will make them club night favourites. ‘I Hate You’ features a guest appearance from the multi-talented Laurie Black giving it both added dimension and Fear Factory vibes at the same time. Kuro’s vocals are chameleonic in nature changing their flavour depending on what is needed. It’s a neat trick to be able to pull off, one not many can do. And it’s not just clean or throaty either, it’s about mood and tone. More than anything ‘Circling The Drain’ sounds refreshingly different, and that’s why you should give it a listen.
