Review: Recall The Remains – Revenant

Recall The Remains

Revenant

(Self-Release)

The Recall Boys have been consistently and tirelessly making their mark on the UK metal scene, earning their reputation as one of the hardest-working bands. The anticipation for this long player has been palpable. So, how have they fared?

As well-known crusher Fairfield opens proceedings, the band is in full force. Dynamic frontman Jacob Collins and bassist Jordan Barnes do the dual harsh and clean vocals with soaring intensity alongside the guitars and drums, all sounding fat, wide, and sparkling. The Night Will Bleed follows with epic dramatic moods and a taste for the darkly theatrical, and Fever Dreams’ bounce and jump grooves will get the party started anywhere it lands.

This debut is a masterful step towards bigger stages and the heights that Recall The Remains are more than capable of reaching. Darker Path showcases their impressive songwriting and arrangement skills, breathing new life into faithful Recall bangers like Empty Woods and Lifetaker. Our Hell and Brothers Until Betrayal mark the end of this journey and the beginning of Recall The Remains’ ascent to the main stage glory they so richly deserve. If there’s any justice in the world, this album will be the springboard for the Telford terrors, and the next couple of years will be theirs for the taking.

Come out from the underground and into the light, my friends!
