Rejoice!! Bleeding Through are back! If you love roaring hardcore metal and also think Cradle Of Filth style blackened grandeur is pretty cool this prospect will have you windmilling back into the pit. Opener Gallows wastes no time I grabbing you by the throat and throwing you around in an epic scene setting style. It’s a sound packed with pieces of ear candy and screwface moments. The production here is sharp as a scalpel blade as the furious riffing slices through your speakers. Our Brand Is Chaos follows on and assures you that their dominance in this genre remains undiminished. This album was a long time coming but we are so happy it’s here, only Carnifex have made notable inroads with this kind of theatrical take on core based brutality. The clean sung passages here aren’t the derivative pop hooks found elsewhere in metalcore, they’re forceful, driving and serve the songs perfectly as is demonstrated on Lost In Isolation a track that also features true metalcore heavyweights God Forbid. The metalcore originals celebration continues with Comeback Kid joining the party on the break neck speed I Am Resistance. So why not give Shadows Fall a call while we’re at it? Who duly oblige on the defiant Wartime a potent throwdown that warms my heart greatly. This is the true sound of metalcore and its executed brilliantly with Bleeding Through sinking it’s fangs in and granting it immortality. Unholy Armada signs off this awesome collection and all of the dark hearted moshpit fiends can emerge from the shadows and thirst for blood once more!
