An aural security blanket but one that is still fresh. Enter Viki Vortex And The Cumshots with their latest album Toxic Timebomb with twelve songs that are punk all the way through like a stick of rock. You get hints of classic acts just as you’d expect, a little bit of the Ramones here, a touch of the Pistols there. This time around the lyrical content mixes tongue in cheek with more serious topics – an inevitable sign of the times. The quite retro production combined with Viki’s ever youthful delivery really enhances the tone of the music. Toxic Timebomb had its fuse lit in the past just to detonate in the present. Punks old and young will love it.
