This Party Sucks
Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms
Self Released
A bit pop punk, actually quite a bit, but also with a heavy dose of rock garnished with a sprinkling of metal. That’s the basis of what you get with This Party Sucks. Sure they goof about, they’re huge fun to watch live, and yet…… the songs aren’t the usual disposable pap you often associate this style of band with. While the music is upbeat and the message is positive, the delivery enables you to get the more serious undertones and still dance like a loon. The rhythm sections pounds away at a galloping tempo for the whole album. The guitar work is frenetic but has a bit of class to it. And the vocals are pointedly memorable. You also get songs that don’t run into a brick wall after 120 seconds too with ‘Nowhere To Go’ running for a mighty five minutes. This Party Sucks could be the surprise package of 2023.
