Infecting The Scars

Metropolis Records

While it’s not technically possible to predict the future (the Lottery numbers for example) in some circumstances you can have a pretty good go. Will the dog shed his fur on the new sofa he’s not supposed to sit on? Yes. Yes he will. Is opening an album with a menacing, atmospheric, hissing electro track (‘Intro – Made In Hell’) going to build up into a brutal aggrocore album assault. Abso-flippin-lutely. ‘Infecting The Scars’ is full of dark songs titles (‘Coma Maker’, ‘Faith Desecration’) and deathly imagery, brought to life by demonic vocals. It’s vampiric, it’s back metal, it’s post-industrial witchcraft. Constantly driven by an infectious electronic groove, ‘Infecting The Scars’ drills a hole in your skull, so its tracks can buzz around and elicit a range of responses from fear to focus and everything else in between. There’s a hypnosis in this band’s psychosis – and it makes ‘Infecting The Scars’ very moreish indeed.
