Greybeards
Out Of The Red EP
Rexius Records
While Norway may be the home of church immolating extreme metal its next door neighbour Sweden has built a reputation for producing radio friendly rock bands. Greybeards are yet another example of this with an if it ain’t broke don’t fix it approach to writing that sees this short but sweet EP hit all the right notes. It’s music that won’t trouble any boundaries already set but at the same time lifts the soul in a way that more progressive bands usually don’t. The musicianship is plenty tight, the vocals are solid and the sound is fresh and warming. Sometimes you just want music to make you feel good, to give you an injection of positivity, you want something you can shout along to, and ‘Out Of The Red’ fits the bill perfectly.
