Surfing the Chaos

Self Released

Underground guitar slingers Litterbug drop raw rock ragers fronted by punk spirit and blended with political lyrics which are harshly sung but not brutally spat – so you can take in their call to arms in comfort rather than fear. ‘Have and the Have Nots’ brings The Buzzcocks vibe. ‘File Under Dead’ gets nice and noisy. Bassy introed ‘No Means No’ moves the action down to the lower end and gives a dark jolt. ‘Petrol Situation 2024’ accepts the challenge however and gets darker and lower, with proper abrasive vocals and scuzzy guitars and beats. All hope of melodies and harmonies have been abandoned. And it feels so good. There’s bile in Litterbug’s lyrics, and ‘Surfing the Chaos’ gives you plenty to think about. And if you like your music spikey, rough and ready (who doesn’t?!), there’s plenty to be cheerful about as well.
