Dancing On The Milky Way – Fat Earth Records

Bundle of jingly jangly guitar based rocky poppy joy, The Hot Damn! are just the job. Especially if that job is bringing the party with gorgeously rich harmonies and tunes that are such catchy little blighters there’s a high chance they’ll take up long-term space in your head, shoving some other information aside, never to be retrieved again. Hurrah! Because there’s nothing better than a brain full of these sassy, sharp, insightful and relatable bangers. Jo Wright: ‘Mmmmm, why did I come into this room?’ Brain: ‘I didn’t like you/I didn’t like you/I didn’t like you anyyywaaaaaayyyyyy’. School: ‘Mrs Wright, your son’s been waiting over an hour for you to collect him from cricket coaching.’ Brain: ‘Juke on the raaaaaaadio/Playing the soooongs we know’. ‘Dancing on The Milky Way’ is fun and fierce. And it’s serious in much of its subject matter. ‘Automatic’ for example, which is a musical kick most of us need now and then. All of us need this record in our lives however.
