Today sees rising star Cassyette share the music video for her latest single ‘Sad Girl Summer’, out now via Cassyette’s independent label Devil Land.

Following the trio of releases earlier this year (Sad Girl Summer, Dead Roses and Mayhem Acoustic), Cassyette returns with the sensational music video for summer anthem ‘Sad Girl Summer’. Directed by Jamie Noise, the fun-filled video sees Cassyette descend to the beach with her fellow goths, Goth Block in hand; repent with a devil stripper and obliterate a wedding cake as a jilted bride. The Sad Girl Summer video is the perfect visual accompaniment for what Cassyette describes a ‘fuck you’ song and a reclamation of power. The track and video serve as taste of of what to expect on Cassyette’s highly anticipated upcoming project, more details to follow.
Speaking about the video Cassyette says “Sad girl summer was so much fun to film. I got to smash up a whole table of stuff…I had a baseball bat and whacked the shit out of everything. It was amazing. It was a home run ??. Seriously though, it was one of the best things I have done so far.
Jamie the director had the most amazing concepts. I went to him saying I wanted ‘goths on the beach and poisonous frog colours’ and he came back with fetish nuns, a jilted bride and a kinky acid trip. I feel like he really nailed my personality.
The ‘Sad Girl Summer’ music video follows Cassyette’s breath-taking BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale session earlier this month, where she performed ‘Sad Girl Summer’, ‘Mayhem’ and an acoustic rendition of Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’. Listen to the performances HERE.
Cassyette will kick off her headline ‘Sad Girl Summer’ UK tour next month, starting in Glasgow on September 9th. The headline tour sees Cassyette perform several dates across the UK, before a closing show at London’s O2 Academy Islington.
