Nocturnal Youth EP – Self Released

Straight outta Atlanta, Georgia, hard rockers Pistols At Dawn have released a short sharp burst of finest heavy, melodic music. A masterclass, if you will. With a sense of strangling claustrophobia throughout, broken periodically with big choruses that shine through like sunlight penetrating those pesky gaps in your curtains, ‘Nocturnal Youth EP’ is a faultless four-tracker. ‘Voices’ is dark and haunting, with slow, steady verses emerging into an epic chorus. ‘Crown’ is characterised by powerful changes in pace. ‘Now Is The Time’ is a massive wall of sound. ‘Gone Black’ finishes strong with choppy guitars, echoing vocals and reverberating rhythms. ‘Nocturnal Youth EP’ is polished and radio-friendly, but bad ass enough to blow your speakers. And your mind.
