Raging Speedhorn

Hard To Kill – Red Weed Records

In a year that started sh*t, got sh*tter and is still ascending rapidly on the sh*t scale, one of the few things that has been unsh*t has been heavy alt music. A new Raging Speedhorn release is, therefore, gratefully received and enough to get you all fizzy with excitement. Indeed, the stalwarts of metal, noise, and headbanging until you need a new glasses prescription, do not disappoint. ‘Doom Machine’ is utterly phenomenal. ‘Spitfire’ is supremely angry and brutal, and enough to make you go ‘oof’. Play that live when we’re released back into the wild and that’s the mosh pit igniting right there. The tracks on ‘Hard To Kill’ are frenzied, maniacal bursts of solid riffs, implosions of scalding vocals and enough bass to cause and then actually cure headaches. Not forgetting a massive helping of sludge too. Oh, and a cover of T. Rex’s ‘Children Of The Revolution’, Speedhorn style – which you will love. ‘Hard To Kill’ is a must for Raging Speedhorn fans, but it’ll hit the spot for everyone else too. It’s essential listening.
