Is This Worth Living For?
Self released
At some point in our lives we all feel a bit like a square peg in a world full of round holes. This applies doubly so in our alternative community of non-conformation. ‘Is This Worth Living For?’ delves into what it’s like to be an outsider moving out of synch within a coercive society. Musically we get a delicious melodic mix of post grunge, hardcore and various metal elements all whipped into a sound that is nicely balanced. Synths only add to the overall depth. The male/female vocals give the lyrical content real range and you also get some lovely harmonies throughout. ‘Taken’ features Benji Webbe which thanks to its clever writing makes the most of his unique vox. A live guest spot would certainly make a lot of sense if it were possible. Electron have well and truly made themselves heard with this gem of a record.
